Finance

The Finance Department is dedicated to maintaining the fiscal integrity and stability of the Town. It is responsible for the administration of the annual budget, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, and the management of revenues and expenditures.

By ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards, the department safeguards public resources and provides accurate, timely financial information to support the Town’s operations and strategic initiatives.

The Town's financial statements are audited annually by a separate accounting firm and reviewed by the Board of Commissioners and the NC Department of State Treasurer.

Property tax billing and collections are conducted by the Onslow County Tax Office on behalf of the Town. The Town's property tax rate for FY 2025-26 is $0.34 per $100 of assessed valuation.
