You should call 911 when you have an emergency for police, fire, or if you need an ambulance. When you dial 911, your call goes to the Emergency Operations Center E-911. You need to answer the operator's questions while they are dispatching the police, fire department, or ambulance. For a non-emergency, you should call 910-455-9119, which also goes to the Emergency Operations Center.
Reports can be obtained from the Holly Ridge Police department Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a fee of $5 for a police report and a $5 fee for a crash report.

Most traffic tickets can be taken care of in one of two ways. You can see a Magistrate (located at the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office) to pay the fine, or you can appear in court on your court date if you feel that you’re not guilty. For many years Holly Ridge Police has had a residential watch program. If you are going out of town, stop by the Town Hall and fill out a Residential Watch Form (PDF). The Police department will check your residence periodically while you are away.
You can answer that question best. If something doesn’t look right to you, it’s worth having the Police check it out. Don’t hesitate to call if you think something or someone is suspicious.
Fingerprinting services are available while supplies last. Please contact the Police Department to confirm availability and schedule an appointment.

Elections for the Town of Holly Ridge are held on odd numbered years. Members of the Town Council are elected to staggered four year terms.
