  • Tornadoes- While less common than in the Midwest, tornadoes do occur, often spun off by hurricanes or strong thunderstorms.
  • Extreme heat & Drought- A heat wave is a long period of extreme heat. It is often with high humidity. These conditions can be dangerous and even life-threatening for people who don’t do what they ought to do to keep themselves safe. Drought has happened in every part of the state in recent years.
